The Discovery Zone
Get hands-on in the Discovery Zone! Visitors of all ages are encouraged to explore the latest technologies and skills driving the motoring industry and our everyday lives.
We’ll be welcoming a wide variety of organisations with Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) at their core, including University Centre Somerset, Ariel Motor Company, School of Thought Automotive, Devon & Somerset Fire, Team Bath Racing, RAC and many more!
Our very own Haynes Heritage Engineering car restoration workshop will also be doing live demonstrations and displaying current projects. The team will be on hand to talk about what goes into classic car restoration, the techniques used and answer any questions.
The Discovery Zone champions the Museum’s charitable objective to empower people to learn about the automobile as a platform for inspiring a greater understanding of engineering and science. John Haynes first began this when he opened the Museum 40 years ago, and we feel this is a very fitting way to celebrate this anniversary.
Whether you’re a seasoned mechanic, classic car owner or budding young engineer, there will be something for everyone.
