The main special display at this year’s show celebrates the extraordinary creativity inspired by the Austin 7, the very car that sparked John Haynes’ first hands on experiments and the beginnings of the Haynes manuals.
From shed built ingenuity to competition driven design, this unique curated feature brings together a remarkable range of specials that show how one simple car became a platform for innovation Built, adapted and reimagined by generations of enthusiasts, these cars showcase the bold creativity and practical problem solving that transformed the Austin 7 into a motoring icon.

If you would like to your Austin 7 Special to be of the display at The John Haynes Classic Motor Show please complete the form below and your admission will be reviewed. We will contact you with further details about your application. For those selected to take part in the Austin 7 Special display entry to the John Haynes Classic Motor Show is free for the driver, and one passenger. Entry tickets for the show must be purchased for any additional passengers.
Show Day Information: The show is open to the public from 10:00am – 4:00pm on Sunday 6th September, and all vehicles must be in position by 9:45am.The site will be open for access from 10:00am – 10:00pm on Saturday 5th September. Vehicles may be left on site overnight, and the site will be secure.The site will reopen for access at 7:00am on Sunday 6th September.
